Supporting the right candidates in state elections is one of the few tools we have to ensure that the practice of medicine is enhanced by state action, not inhibited by it. 

The Delaware Medical Political Action Committee (DELPAC) is a bipartisan political action committee and is a separate, segregated fund established by the Medical Society of Delaware.  This nonprofit independent committee consists of individual physicians and others* who want to sustain the efforts of DELPAC.  Its goal is to support pro-medicine candidates on the state level. 

Voluntary contributions to DELPAC by individuals should be written on personal accounts (checks or credit cards).  Contributions are not limited to the suggested amounts.  Contributions made to DELPAC by credit card or check are non-refundable.  Contributions intended for DELPAC cannot be combined with contributions to the Medical Society of Delaware or any of its affiliates.  Voluntary political contributions are subject to the prohibitions and limitations of the Federal Election Campaign Act. DELPAC will not favor or disadvantage anyone based on the amounts or failure to make contributions.  

Contributions or gifts to DELPAC are not deductible as charitable contributions or business expenses for federal income tax purposes.

* For example, spouses of physicians may also participate by making their own individual contribution.

You can enroll yourself and up to one additional individual for each of the Contribution types through this registration process.  If more than one individual is enrolling, each can choose their own level of support for DELPAC.  Simply choose the number of individuals (1 or 2) for the appropriate Contribution type(s).  Each individual is referred to as a "Contribution."  Only one payment transaction is requested whether one or more individuals are enrolling through this registration process.

For example, if you and your spouse are enrolling, choose the appropriate Contribution type amount you wish to give.  If you wish to be a President's Circle member and your spouse wishes to be a Sustaining Donor, choose the Quantity of "1" for each Contribution type.  BE SURE TO MATCH THE CORRECT NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE DIFFERENT CONTRIBUTION TYPES CHOSEN WHEN PROMPTED.
